American Idol’s Joey Cook and PMJ Cover Cage the Elephant (VIDEO)

Joey Cook joins forces once again with Postmodern Jukebox for more retro fun.

This time, the American Idol season 14 singer performs a jazzy version of Cage the Elephant’s 2008 alt rock song “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked.” The video also stars clarinetist Jacob Scesney doing a bit of uhm…decorating!

The bluesy vibe Joey and PMJ create is the perfect setting for the song’s world weary lyrics. The song is available on Postmodern Jukebox’s latest album, 33 Resolutions Per Minute.  Click to download from iTunes. It features songs from other reality show favorites such as Blake Lewis, Melinda Doolittle, JAX, and Rayvon Owen.

Postmodern Jukebox is currently on tour. Click for schedule.
