American Idol Group Rounds Ratings Hold Up Against Survivor Premiere

American Idol is held up well against the premiere of the new Season of Survivor last night (Which was down 29% from last Spring’s premiere. Ouch):

American Idol ratings slipped from last Wednesday’s one hour episode, but Fox still easily won the ratings race on the night. NBC finished behind Univision for adults 18-49.

American Idol’s 8.1 adults 18-49 rating was down 8% from last Wednesday, and 21% from last season’s fifth Tuesday (10.2 rating, not sure if that was a 2 hr. ep).

CBS’s Survivor: Redemption Island premiered with a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating, down 29% vs. last spring’s premiere.
