American Idol’s Clark Beckham Signs with Quincy Jones, Drop “I Need” (AUDIO)

Clark Beckham has laid kind of low since he came in second on American Idol season 14 in 2015. The singer impressed his fans with his bluesy soulful voice and impressive range. Finally, however, Clark’s career appears to be on the move.

“Humbled to announce that I’ve officially signed with Quincy Jones for management,” the singer revealed on social media. “He’s got an unbelievable team with fantastic artists and big dreams. Still can’t believe I’m working with THE Legend Quincy Jones on this musical journey of mine. Big things are coming.”

Yes, THE Quincy Jones, who’s multi-decade career has including working with the likes of Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson. Not only does Clark have new management, but he’s just released a beautiful new single called “I Need.”

“John Mayer, thanks for letting me borrow your band!,” Clark wrote on social media. “Honored to have THE greats on my first release since Idol – Steve Jordan, Pino Palladino, and Isaiah Sharkey CRUSHED it. So excited to show you guys this tune!” Jordan produced the tune, while Jerry Hey and Keyon Harrold arranged the horns.
