On November 29, the 2015 Hollywood Christmas Parade celebrated the final season of American Idol by inviting a slew of alums to come and perform on the main stage.
There was Season 2 winner Ruben Studdard singing Alabama’s “Christmas in Your Arms,” runner up, Clay Aiken, performing “The First Noel.” It’s been rare for Clay to sing in public since he ran for congress in North Carolina last year.
Season 12 winner, Candice Glover, performed the perennial favorite, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” Season 5 alum, Chris Daughtry, and his band headed in a decidedly non-holiday direction with “Long Live Rock.”
Also from Season 5, Ace Young missed performing clean shaven by two days (totally assuming that’s a “movember” beard he’s sporting!) t0 join his wife, Season 3 runner-up, Diana DeGarmo on a duet of “Baby It’s Cold Outside.”
And Season 5 winner, Taylor Hicks, got the pimp spot, performing “Silent Night,” before Santa Clause brought the annual parade to a close.
Laura McKenzie & Erik Estrada were co-hosts, while Dean Cain introduced the acts on the main stage.
Check out all the performances here. The parade aired on CW stations Friday Dec. 11. Check your local listings for a repeat.
