Singing an original song last night paid off for MacKenzie Bourg, who ranks #1 in our poll. Avalon Young is second with a healthy percentage. Also in double digits–Sonika Vaid.

Contestant Most Likely to Be Eliminated

Manny Torres has the judges to thank for his continued presence in the competition. But will he survive the first viewer vote of American Idol 15? The hard sell from Jlo isn’t having an effect on blog readers’ belief that Gianna Isabella is not long for this particular world of singing competitions, not one little bit.

  1. Manny Torres 38.06%
  2. Gianna Isabella 16.9%
  3. Jeneve Rose Mitchell 16.14%
  4. Thomas Stringfellow 14.07%
  5. Lee Jean 6.65%
  6. Jenn Blosil 4.25%
  7. Sonika Vaid 1.74%
  8. Tristan McIntosh 0.87%

Prediction: Manny Torres will leave the competition tonight. He never overcame the douchebag edit he received in Hollywood. His performances have been OK, but not great enough to counterbalance the the negativity. Plus, he performed 1st.  Jeneve Rose Mitchell – I think Harry is right. She’s polarizing. Her off-the-grid weirdness isn’t really connecting, and her vocals have been inconsistent. That bizarre “Gone” duet with Scotty McCreery did her no favors. The judges have been shilling hard for Gianna Isabella, but I still don’t believe she can survive a viewer vote. Jlo pimping her “friends” daughter only breeds resentment, as does the whole “mommy was famous for a minute but still has connections” backstory.  Here’s where it gets tough. I’m going to say Lee Jean is sent home. He’s got talent, but he’s pretty much a one trick pony at this stage in his development. Thomas Stringfellow is in the same boat, but I think Harry’s criticism likely elicited some pity votes. Mr. Yippity-yap stays, despite performing in the death spot.

Going Home: Manny Torres, Jeneve Mitchell, Gianna Isabella, Lee Jean.
