The American Idol 14 Hollywood Week Group rounds conclude on Wednesday. Check out a preview of contestants Joey Cook, Krista Bettevy, Shannon Berthiaume, and Naomi Tatsuoka A.K.A. the Violet Vixens, having a LITTLE BIT OF TROUBLE with the WORDS as they perform the Queen classic, “Somebody to Love.”
“Da da da da da da…and I totally didn’t mess up those words. It’s just your imagination!” sings Joey, not losing a beat. The panel bust out laughing.
Sharon, who continues her streak of screwing up on stage, sings about having “water on the brain” which is certainly not the original lyric.
Judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. ain’t mad. On the contrary, the actually seem to be enjoying the performance. The takeaway? If you forget the words, at least be entertaining.
American Idol airs on FOX Wednesday February 10 and Thursday February 11.
