While American Idol judge, Keith Urban, continues to grieve with his wife, Nicole Kidman, after the sudden death of her father, Dr. Antony Kidman. American Idol season 8 alum, Adam Lambert will sit in his place at the New York City American Idol 14 judges round auditions:

I’m not exactly sure of the dates, but I’m assuming the auditions are this week. I’ll update this post with more when I have the information.
ETA: According to director, Michael Orland, the New York auditions begin tomorrow.
Keith has cancelled all of his appearances to be with Nicole and her family in Australia. Keith posted an apology on his Facebook on Friday:
I’m so very sorry that I cannot perform this weekend. We are in a deep state of grief at the passing of Nic’s Father and are heading to Australia to be with family. We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for their love, prayers and support through this devastating loss.
Adam Lambert, fresh off of a tour fronting for the legendary band Queen, had mentored American Idol contestants twice. The first time was back in season 9, when he advised the finalists as they prepared for their live performances. Most recently, he and season 5 alum, Chris Daughtry, headed up a boot camp for the season 13 Top 30 contestants.
