It’s time for poll results and predictions. Where do the American Idol 12 Top 9 stand? Who will go home?
ETA: By the way, just as I suspected, the list of Beatles songs the contestants had to choose from was really short. According to The Hollywood Reporter, there were only 20 tunes on the list!

American Idol 12 – Top 9 Performance – Recap and Videos
Favorite performance went to Candice Glover and her groove-filled rendition of “Come Together.” She captured 23.7% of the vote. Fairly close behind her was Kree Harrison’s version of “With a Little Help From My Friends,” nabbing 20.87% of the vote. Angie Miller and her torchy version of “Yesterday” is 3rd, receiving 16.24% of the vote. Janelle Arthur’s rendition of “I Will” is 4th with 12.65%. Rounding out the Top 5 is Amber Holcomb’s “She’s Leaving Home with 12.65% of the vote.

As you can see, girls rule, ya’ll. There’s a fairly big gap between 5 and 6, where Burnell Taylor lands with 5.04% of the vote. Wow.
Who Should Go Home Vs Who Will Go Home
A whopping 81% of you feel Lazaro Arbos should be going home. However, 39.55% feel that it’s Paul Jolley who will be heading out the door tonight.
Arguably, Lazaro Arbos delivered the worst performance of the night, and hasn’t had a solid showing in weeks. He’s clearly in over his head. But the dude has people. And everytime he cries, or stutters helplessly over his words, I imagine there are a slew of people vowing to work hard to keep him in the competition. When Mariah complimented the singer on his “courage” I think she was speaking for a lot of viewers. I would not be surprised if he were the last guy standing. While he could land in the bottom 3 this week, he’s not going home.
Here are my shaky predictions
The bottom 3 will be made up of Paul Jolley, Lazaro Arbos and Burnell Taylor.
Amber Holcomb, who received faint praise from the judges, could be in the B3 instead of Burnell or Lazaro. Both Amber and Burnell performed early, which puts non-descript performers in danger. Paul Jolley could be saved by viewers who felt the judges critiques were too harsh and unfair. But he didn’t score very high on the leaderboard last week, so I don’t think he has a big enough fan base that cares.
I predict Paul Jolley will go home, with either Burnell (or possibly Amber) in the bottom 2. Lazaro will come in 7th place on the leaderboard (If there is one tonight).
