The Idols are busy practicing their picks for this week’s 80s theme, but that’s not going to stop me from creating a wish list of songs I hope the Idols would sing. What’s yours?
Colton Dixon – “Pride” (In The Name of Love) or “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For by U2 – U2’s music has always had a spiritual element. Perfect for Colton.
Deandre Brackensick – “Purple Rain” – I would suggest Prince for Deandre, if he can get it cleared.
Elise Testone – “The Talk Of the Town” or “Don’t Get Me Wrong” by the Pretenders. Please Queen Elise, continue to Rock Out. Thank you.
Hollie Cavanagh – “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” – She’ll probably pick some cheesy 80s ballad, but she should give Heart a shot. Or maybe Cyndi Lauper.
Jessica Sanchez – Maybe some Tina Turner or the Pointer sisters?
Joshua Ledet – “Wanna Be Starting Something” – Joshua did so well in last week’s MJ medley, that’s a well he should dip into again.
Phillip Phillips – “Have A Little Faith In Me” by John Hiatt. Or pretty much anything from his 8o’s output. Perfect.
Skylar Laine – “Seven Year Ache” or May I suggest some Roseanne Cash? PLEASE?
