American Idol 11 Judges’ Auditions Reportedly Set for Savannah on Thursday

That official press release from FOX announcing that all 3 judges and Ryan Seacrest will be returning to American Idol for Season 11 has got to be coming in the next couple of days.

A Savannah,   newspaper is reporting that yellow ticket holders from the Charleston, SC auditions will be singing before the American Idol judges when auditions begin in that southern city later this week.

Publicists for the show have called a press conference for Thursday at the Hyatt Regency Savannah with “American Idol” judges and host Ryan Seacrest. Only media representatives with credentials will be admitted to the press conference.

Executive Producer, Nigel Lythgoe told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show last week that Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Ryan Seacrest (of course) will be returning to Idol this year.

Later, in interviews backstage at SYTYCD, Nigel admitted that JL0 hadn’t actually signed her contract yet. The official announcement about Jennifer’s return was supposed to happen Monday, according to reports. But so far? Nada.

We’re getting down to the wire people. Steven, Randy and Ryan are in the midst of multi-year contracts, so we know they’re coming back. But despite Nigel’s announcement, and reports that she’s signed on for one more year…is Jennifer coming back for reals? What’s the holdup with the official announcement?  Are there last minute sticking points in her contract that have yet to be worked out?

Stay tuned. I have a feeling this could be a busy news day!

  1. No doubt she enjoys the attention. I am actually excited about Season 11 and I wonder what changes Nigel plans for the show?
