An accidental drowning tragically took Glee star Naya Rivera’s life last month. Now, her fellow co-star, Amber Riley, pays tribute to her dear friend on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
While Jimmy is on summer vacation, guest Host Lil Rel Howery welcomed Amber for a tribute performance of “A Moment.”
“Not too long ago with both lost a really amazing friend in a tragic accident,” Howery explained. “and we both miss her forever and I really want to thank the show for letting us do this,” He continued, “She’s here to perform a tribute to our good friend Naya Rivera.”
Shot in black and white, photos of Naya spanning her life accompany the performance. “Naya’s amazing mom gave me those photos,” Amber revealed on Twitter. “Thank you Mama Yoli continue to uplift and pray for them thank you @LilRel4 letting me a part of your vision for our friend. Love you.”
Amber has a new self-titled EP coming out October 2nd.
