- On Daughtry presence lessening the blow of elimination, “It made me feel better. He’s done so much, he’s done so well, and it’s really, like, if he’s done well, and he didn’t have to make it all the way to the top, it gives me a chance hopefully. And I hope I do as well as he does.”
- She was thrilled to work with Slash, “When I heard it was Slash, I was like ‘Oh my gosh! Jesus, I can’t wait to, like, meet him, he’s so awesome.’ I’ve been a fan for so long, and it’s insane that I got to, like, sing while he was playing for us. And it was such a good opportunity, and I thing he’s one of the best mentors we’ve had, hands down. We were just so happy he took time out of his schedule to just come to the show and help us out.”
- The kids were shaken by the accident, “It was a great friend of ours, she’s stage manager Debbie, and we were just, like wow. But you know what? She’s doin’ better and we were just conscious of what was going on and we wanted to know how she was during the show and we heard she was doing fine, so I guess that really helped us continue on and try to do what we were gonna do and I guess we did, y’know?”
- Why she talked back to Simon Tuesday night, “He was like, ‘Start begging’ and I was like, ‘You know what? That’s it!!!’ So, I really just felt it was the perfect time to stand up for myself and I was like, ‘alright, I’m not who you are sayin’ I am, I’m not boring first of all, and if you say I don’t talk enough, I might as well just talk.’ So I feel this is the perfect timing for me to come in, y’know?”
