  1. I can’t help but think it’s hilarious to see Allison surrounded by alcohol bottles. I do like that she’s being exposed to an older audience.

By now, I don’t even remember the original lyrics to No One Else anymore. It’s like she learned the verses separately and just picks and chooses whatever comes to her mind at the time, heh.

Vocally, great as always. Apparently Allison spent V-day working. She was performing at the Blue Martini Bar last night. Someone who was there took pictures:

  2. It’s great that Allison is getting to do these appearances and get the word out about her new music. I was out shopping this weekend and was very pleased to hear FIBOU at Noordstrom Rack. This was the first time I have heard it other than listening to her CD or coming to this site.

  3. I hope the radio starts playing FIBOU more soon. The radio audience deserves to hear Allison’s greatness and it should really help her sales.

  4. shes sooooo good, i hope her next single gets to be a hit
to be honest FIBOU is my least favorite on the album and i still love it!
i would LOVE to hear no one else, d is for dangerous, trouble is, or you don’t know me on the radio

  5. PRMari: See the last thread for a response to your comment on Cry Baby.

  6. jordison thanks for the link.
Allis voice is still going strong after last friday’s gig when she tore the house down.
She learned a great deal about herself on the tour and has applied what she’s learned.

I dont think she would develop nodules, or would have develop them by now since she has been singing from a very early age. I can see why people may think otherwise. Once you get to know her, another sphere lights up. She truly is a phenom. Haleys comet

Some of us have heard it at Best Buy as well.

  8. I think people sometimes don’t get that this is Allison’s natural voice, she is husky by nature, not because she’s losing her voice, heh.

Poor thing must be exhausted. She hasn’t had a day off for a while and looks like she won’t have one for the next few days either. She was playing a Blue Martini bar last night, had another acoustic concert this afternoon in Orlando, has another one tomorrow in Jacksonville and like three different things on Wednesday. She’s getting out there and it’s kind of interesting that she’s playing bars since that’s obviously NOT the Disney crowd.

  9. Very true, she must be exhausted. All this hard work hopefully pays off.

Last week she had three adds for FIBOU. Lest see what this week brings. I like the song, but after listening to last Friday’s set with FIBOU as the encore, I feel the song isn’t as significant as her other tunes. It is relevant and catchy, and I think they’ll ride and juice it till it runs out of breath before releasing a follow up. Another indication the label has a long term outlook for the album. I think fans are gonna have mixed feelings when the second single drops and its not their choice. Im comfortable with any pick – whatever gives her the best chance – because any of the remaining trax can be a hit. I feel a tour could do wonders for her. Im loving Scars, I caved in deeper.

Hey, is JohnM‘s wife(the David Cook fan) still posting here? I know he mentioned her handle, I forgot. That would give some indication as to the status of our fellow fan.

Yes, this is getting worrisome, since he said he’d been sick. Usually by now he’s put out all the stats. I don’t think he’s posted over on Allison’s website for the last few days either.

No problem if he’s preoccupied with family, work, or whatever – just would be nice to know he’s OK.

  11. I agree, John, if you’re around, give us a sign man, tweet me something, just let us know you’re doing ok.

When the second single drops, I’ll be fine because I honestly think any song has a shot at doing well.

  12. Very nice work Alli. She is working her butt off these past couple of weeks. I think this event was free before certain hour for guys and free all night for girls. Can you believe that?
    JohnM, where are you man?

  13. I’d pay a lot to see Allison live and these people are getting her for free…damn.

Oh, nice to know John is alive and well :P

  14. He posted over there? ok thats good. I hope he’s not trying to make us register over there, well, I guess Im the only one who hasn’t gotten involved over at Allis site. I was there a couple times – its a little weird.

I still can’t get a good sounding mp3 file from NY. The picture quality outweighs the audio so far.

  15. So I’m listening to No One Else and I’m thinking “how does this song really go?” Too funny. Sounds like a tough crowd – lots of meetin’ (and probably drinking) going on in the background. She sounds great, though.

Rub – I hope he’s not trying to make us register over there, well, I guess Im the only one who hasn’t gotten involved over at Allis site. I was there a couple times – its a little weird.

No, Rub, you’re not the only one. I never registered there either. I think its weird, too – which is too bad. Plus I don’t really want to post all over the place.

Re: John: My take is that he’s busy but feels he has an obligation to maintain the thread he started over there. At some point he’ll probably be back here with a two-page post (most of which will be about how wrong I am :)). But until then I’ll be running amok, saying god know’s what. Ah, sweet freedom! :) :) :)

  16. My top choices for singles have always been YDKM and D, but I’m not too hopeful right now since they’re never mentioned. We’ll just have to wait and see what they come up with.

  17. Good to hear that JohnM is ok.
I gave a fair chance to Alli’s official website, but lately their comments/forum section is seriously screwed up, and that’s too much to take.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Scars is her next single. She has been playing it a lot, it seems to be connecting with audiences, and is apparently charting well in the Philippines (don’t understand why particularly in the Philippines, but OK with me).
