Alejandro Aranda aka Scarypoolparty to Release Ambitious 21 Track Double Album ‘The Act of Forgiveness’ out August 27
SET TO JOIN X AMBASSADORS ON 26-DATE ‘THE BEAUTIFUL LIAR’ TOUR, KICKING OFF OCT. 15 AT SAN DIEGO’S HOUSE OF BLUES
Alejandro Aranda aka Scarypoolparty announces his ambitious sophomore album, The Act of Forgiveness, to be released August 27 via Hollywood Records/19 Recordings. The 21-track double album features twelve songs with Emmy Award and Tony Award-winning composer Rob Mathes’ orchestral arrangements.
Produced largely by the American Idol 2019 runner-up and recorded in nine days at LA’s Village Studios and Capitol Studios.
The press release describes the album as a “culmination of all his styles and influences over the past few years,” adding that “this record is a bold statement to his artistic versatility. From the softer, more revealing moments, to flowing pop melodies, to heavier rock sounds, Scarypoolparty pulls the curtain on his dynamic and undeniable musical ability.”
The statement continues, “Woven throughout with the sweeping strings and his unbelievable guitar fingerpicking, this double album reiterates the emotional depth of his songwriting as he explores themes of nostalgia, romance, and uncertainty.”
Recently, Alejandro previewed the upcoming album, with the breezy track “Friends.”
