America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League moves on to week 3 of the Qualifier rounds. One of the 10 acts competing this week (Mon Jan 15) is The Pack Drumline.
In a new just-released preview, the act’s mentor, Simon Cowell declares that the act would make a fantastic Super Bowl halftime act. The group has come a long way since they competed on AGT in 2022, shares one of the team members. “When we first came on this show, we were just a bunch of kids from Chicago looking for opportunity,” he says. But what a difference a year has made. The group has performed in Las Vegas, with the Chicago Bulls and all over the world.

“We’re coming into the competition to win!” the group’s spokesperson declares. And indeed, performing on all manner of drums, including a front-and-center drum kit, the group performs to major rock and hip hop songs, “We Will Rock You” by Queen and “Humble” by Kendrick Lamar. Hip-hop dance moves accompany the group’s powerful drumming. At one point, a strong team member held a drummer while he pounded out various beats. The Pack Drumline display amazing showmanship.

A Super Bowl moment, says Howie Mandel
Howie Mandel calls the routine a “Super Bowl moment” and “better than anything you have done before on the AGT stage.” He calls The Pack Drumline “the one to beat.” Mel B. is annoyed that an act on Simon’s team “just killed it.” Simon, feeling like a “proud parent” is impressed. He sees “steel” in the drummers’ eyes, which he considers the sign of a “fighter and a star.” He believes the group could “surprise everyone” and possibly win the show.
