Adam Levine Hosts Saturday Night Live (VIDEO)

The Voice coach, Adam Levine hosted Saturday Night Live last night. Did you watch? Here’s a sampling of Adam’s solid hosting debut below.  As is typical with SNL, some skits were better than others.

Adam’s opening monologue featured an all star cast of Andy Samberg, Cameron Diaz and Jerry Seinfeld in red chairs, trying to convince Adam to pick them as his hosting coach. Somehow Adam would up shirtless at the end of the skit.  Despite the star power, I thought the opening was weak.

Unfortunately, a pretty funny skit that had SNL cast members impersonating Jason Mraz, Pat Monahan from Train , John Mayer and Darius Rucker engaged with Adam in a Battle of Hot Adult Contemporary Stars, is not posted online. Sads.

But, this parody of Catfish, where Adam is perfect as host, Nev Schulman, is a spot-on takedown of the MTV reality show. I actually like Catfish the TV Show, but I’m happy to find out I’m not the only one who finds the host a tad full of himself and laughs at how easily the “catfish” are caught through simple Google searches.

Plus, Adam shot a digital short with Lonely Island and musical guest, Kendrick Lamar. YOLO celebrates the idea that “You Only Live Once.”  Quite literally.
