UPDATE:  The Hollywood Reporter confirms a 1st quarter release for Adam’s sophomore  release with RCA:

RCA Records COO Tom Corson tells The Hollywood Reporter, “We moved the album back because the creative process is still unfolding.” The executive notes that it’s “not because we’re not excited about what we’ve got, we just think we can top it, but we’re right there on the cusp.”

“Adam is definitely more involved than ever and I think he’s really enjoying that. Those first records when you come off of Idol, the timelines are really tight, so it’s an artificial experience. Now he has room to breathe and time, he doesn’t have to come off TV, onto a tour and then have an album out for Christmas.”

The latest single/album update from the twitter of Adam Lambert!

“Here’s the deal: there have been a couple of creative set backs on the first single, ” Adam tweets, ” Mainly cuz I’m a perfectionist. Ha. Seems as though the single will explode in November.”

Adam goes on to apologize for the delay and then adds, “trust me, it’s worth it. The song HAS to be perfect!” He says, “here’s the kicker: the single hasn’t been chosen. Narrowing it down.”

And as far as the album? Adam says it “will be released in the spring. Feb/march?”

I would make note of that question mark.

While Adam is still mulling over the next single, he’s still preparing for his album’s upcoming release.  Adam says the looks created on a recent album photo shoot had to do w different songs that will be on the album.”

I’ve been very inspired by french acts on Ed Banger records lately, says Adam “Electro/disco/funk. Feels so good.”

And on phonies in the music business? “..entertainment industry is full of smoke and mirrors. Lots of fake shit going down. Makes Authenticity very refreshing.”

“I love my fans sooo much, ” says Adam, “I wouldn’t be making this album w/o u guys!”
