Adam Lambert Sings “Please Come Home for Christmas” (Video)

Here is one last blast of Christmas, courtesy of Adam Lambert. Recently he performed the classic “Please Come Home for Christmas” for Cyndi Lauper’s annual holiday benefit. “Home for the Holidays.” This year, due to the pandemic, all of the performances were virtual. Adam performed his song in front of a tiger striped background, filmed in vertical.

The simplicity of the setting makes for an even more intense performance. “For all of us in long distance relationships this year!,” Adam wrote on Instagram. “By the way, there’s a recording of this I released last year exclusively for @spotify.”

Adam has had a long friendship with Cyndi. He first performed on Home for the Holidays back in 2012. He and Cyndi performed a duet of “Mad World” the song that turned into a viral moment for Adam on American Idol back in 2009. And then in 2018, Adam and Cyndi sang “I Got You Babe” on the Kennedy Center Honors to support honoree Cher.

Adam uploaded his performance of Please Come Home for Christmas to his Instagram. Watch it here.
