Watch Adam Lambert sing “Mad World” at the Chinese Idol Opening Gala which aired on Chinese television yesterday.
It’s a beautiful version of the song that was one of the singer’s defining moments on American Idol season 8.
“I think that the lyrics are just so important,” explained Adam to the hosts, “talking about being an outsider, feeling like you don’t fit it, and being an alien, almost.”
“I felt that way in many parts in my life,” said Adam, “But my fans all around the world, and here in China, are a big Glamily…we try to be there for each other.”
