Adam Lambert, Leann Rimes join Guy Sebastian on The Voice Australia panel
American Idol alum Adam Lambert will coach on the next season of The Voice Australia alongside Australian Idol alum Guy Sebastian, The Masked Singer winner and country star Leann Rimes and singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke. The series will air on Channel 7 and 7plus later this year.
2023 TV Week Gold Logie Award-winner Sonia Kruger will be back as host, presiding over the competition as a new group of aspiring artists take to The Voice stage.
Rumors swirled that Adam Lambert would join the Australian Idol panel. But he’ll be joining a rival show instead! In America, he’s served as mentor and guest judge on American Idol. He also guest judged on the X Factor UK. Additionally, he’s sat on panels of various talent shows such as E’s Clash of the Cover Bands and ITV’s Starstruck. He’s proven himself to be an enaging and effective talent show panelist.

LeAnn Rimes announced the news during an appearance on the Australian talk show Sunrise. “I’m thrilled, I’ve literally been holding this secret for so long, and it feels so good to finally let it out,” she said.
“I got signed when I was 11, I’ve been so I’ve been in this business for 30 years and I think I have a lot of wisdom to pass on.”
She said she was looking forward to working with the other three judges, remarking that “it’s going to be a great group of people.
“They all seem so kind and we’re going to have a great time.”
Rimes said the opportunity was “a reflection of the love and support I’ve received from my Australian fans throughout my career.
“I look forward to returning the love, sharing my experiences, and hearing fresh, promising talent.”

Meanwhile Adam Lambert said: “I am thrilled to be joining the panel of The Voice this season. I have such great memories in Australia and can’t wait to spend some time down under!

“You can expect some killer song selections, fashion fashion fashion, and of course, a win for Team Adam!”
The sole returning judge Guy Sebastian said it was “so good” to be back on the talent show.
“Adding the insane talent of LeAnn, Kate and Adam on the show this year is going to be killer!!
“They’re all such amazing, world-class artists who I know will bring something fresh and incredible to the season. Let’s go!”
Kate Miller-Heidke said she was “so excited” to join the show and sit alongside her fellow coaches.
“The art and craft of singing has been at the centre of my life and I feel like I have learned some things that might be of help to young or inexperienced performers.
