Adam Lambert, David Archuleta, American Idol Win Teen Choice Awards

The Teen Choice Awards, taped Sunday night, featured 6 American Idol-related wins.

Season 7 runner-up, David Archuleta picked up 3 awards, including Choice Music: Breakout Artist (David Cook was also nominated), Choice Music: Best Love Song for his hit “Crush”, and Choice Music: Best Music Tour (sharing the honor with tour-mate Demi Lovato)

Adam Lambert won in the Choice TV: Male Reality/Variety Star category (Kris Allen was also nominated).

And, American Idol won in the Choice TV: Reality Competition category.

Correction: The AP left off a category–Ryan Seacrest won Choice TV: Personality for E! News (beating out Simon Cowell for Idol) via Buzz Sugar.

The awards will be broadcast on FOX Monday, 8/7c PM, but both Adam and David, busy with their respective summer tours, were unavailable to pick up their awards in person.

The big winner of the evening was the teen vampire movie Twilight, with 11 wins.

Jennifer Hudson lost to Beyonce for Choice Music: R&B Artist, Jennifer Hudson’s “If This Isn’t Love ” lost to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” for best R&B track, David Cook’s David Cook lost to Jason Mraz’s We Sing We Dance We Steal Things for Choice Music: Album (Male Artist) and Carrie Underwood’s Carnival Ride lost to Taylor Swift’s Fearless for Choice Music: (Album) Female Artist.
