American Idol alum, Adam Lambert, takes part in a new charity music video in support of the 25th anniversary of UNICEF’s Convention on the Rights of the Child.
In addition to Adam, a slew of musicians and celebrities, including Katy Perry, Will.i.am, David Guetta, Nicole Scherzinger, The Script’s Danny O’Donaghue, Lance Bass, Nasri from MAGIC! and more take part in the world’s largest charity singing along, to John Lennon’s iconic song, “Imagine.”
Ordinary folks, like us, can get in on the action by downloading a special app. Record your own version of “Imagine,” along with a message about how you envision a better world for children. Share the recording with the hashtags #EVERYVOICECOUNTS and #IMAGINE on social media. David Guetta will collect the recordings and put together a multi-lingual “world” version of “Imagine.” There’s more info at imagine.unicef.com
Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Idris Elba, Scott Foley, Seth Green, Taye Diggs, Patricia Arquette, Glee’s Dianna Agron, Nina Dobrev and Amy Brenneman are some more of the celebrities involved.
Adam appears at about the 1:11 mark singing “And no religion too.” The celebrity singers are interwoven with shots of John Lennon from the original 1970s video.
