Adam Lambert and Randy Jackson Had Dinner Together? No They Didn’t. Damn.

New Topic!   What’s the most outrageous rumor you can think of for one of the Top 36?   Post your ideas in comments…

Update:   And the denial came super-duper fast!

A report on the Web site GossipSauce claiming that American Idol judge Randy Jackson dined with season 8 finalist Adam Lambert at Katsuya restaurant in Hollywood last Tuesday — the night before Lambert’s Feb. 25 semifinal performance of “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” propelled him to a top 12 slot — is “absolutely untrue, ” according to Jackson’s publicist. “Randy did not have dinner with Adam Lambert. He ran into him as he was leaving the restaurant, ” Jackson’s publicist tells EW exclusively.

Damn you Slezak, ruining our fun!   j/k.

The source sounds fishy, but according to the celeb website The Gossip Sauce, Randy Jackson and newly minted Top12 contestant, Adam Lambert, had dinner together the night before last week’s semi-final performance:

Apparently Randy Jackson didnt learn anything from Paula Abdul scandal with Season 2 Corey Clark because our sources tell us Jackson had dinner with one of Idol Top 36 contestants the night before their big audition for the Top 12.

Last Tuesday, the night before the second round of Idol Top 36 wannabes performed for a slot in the Top 12, our spies tell us Idol contestant Adam Lambert was spotted at Katsuya having dinner with judge Randy Jackson. Afterward, Lambert hit Hotel Cafe were he was overhead telling people about his little rendezvous.

Were gonna go out on a limb here and say that is in complete violation of Idol fraternization rules.

I don’t know what the Idol rules are, but certainly, Randy and Adam breaking bread together would have the appearance of impropriety. (coughjoannapacitticough).

I can’t believe either of them would be that stupid to be seen in public together while the competition is still ongoing.   I can’t believe the two of them would be hanging out together, period.

If this story gains traction, the denials will be fun to watch.   A little one-on-one between Ryan Seacrest and Adam in the red room perhaps?
