Actor Jonah Hill Apologizes on the Tonight Show For Using a Slur (VIDEO)

The latest celebrity to get into hot water over the use of a slur is actor Jonah Hill. TMZ caught him on tape losing his temper with a paparazzi photographer who had been following him on the street. The photog had asked him a bunch of annoying questions and then made fun of his flowered shorts. As he turned to leave, Jonah lashed out, yelling … “Suck my d***, you f*****!”

The news broke yesterday, and you can imagine things haven’t been going so well for Jonah.  He apologized first on The Howard Stern radio show, and then, finally, to a broader audience on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.  Hey, it worked for Hugh Grant in the 90s. So why not?

Actually, it’s a pretty heartfelt apology. He explains that he was so irritated and angry at the time, that he hurled the worst slur he could think of. He suggests that folks use him as an example of what NOT to do when angry.  Spread love, not hate, ya’ll.

This is a much better strategy than when Alec Baldwin was caught outside his apartment using a homophobic slur, and insisted it wasn’t what people thought they heard. MSNBC went ahead and fired him anyway.
