ACM Awards 2017: New Country Artist Winners Revealed

The Academy of Country Music the winners today (Mar 14) for the new artist categories for the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards. Unfortunately, American Idol season 10 singer, Lauren Alaina, lost in her category to Maren Morris.

Jon Pardi nabbed Male Vocalist of the year and Brothers Osborne won in the New Vocal Duo for Group of the Year.

Each of the winners in the new artist categories will perform on the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards, co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, to be broadcast LIVE from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Sunday, April 2 (live 8:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. Softening the blow of losing for Lauren– her single, “Road Less Traveled” has hit Top 5 on the Country Airplay chart this week. Besides, red-hot country singer, Maren Morris is formidable competition.

Previously announced performers include Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line with the Backstreet Boys, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town and Maren Morris. Additional acts and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.
