Academy of Country Music Awards 2011 Nominations

Ronnie Dunn and Miranda Lambert announced the Academy of Country Music Awards this morning on the CBS Early Show.

Carrie Underwood nominated in only one category–for  Top Female Vocalist of the Year. She was NOT nominated for Entertainer of the Year a category she’s won in both 2009 and 2010. She also has no nominations in song, record or video of the year.

New country “it” girl, Miranda Lambert earned 6 nominations, including Female Vocalist, Entertainer, Song, Record, Vocal Event and Video of the Year. Carrie is the only Idol nominated, although Kellie Pickler makes an appearance in Miranda Lambert’s video for “Only Prettier” nominated for Video of the Year.
