Ruben Studdard made his Billboard debut this week at #8.  He’s sold 71, 000 copies of “The Return” so far.  Clay Aiken’s “A Thousand Different Ways continues to drop down the Billboard 200–20 more spots from #32 to #52. Ayla Brown is gaining some traction in the Northeast (she hails from Boston)–she’s #10 on the Northeast Heatseekers chart.  Taylor Hicks and Katharine McPhee drop a few more spots down the Singles Sales chart–from #3 and #4 to #6 and #7 respectively.  And, plucky Kellie Pickler moves up a notch on the Hot Country chart, from #38 to #37.

Finally, Ace Young’s single “Scattered” became available on iTunes the middle of last week and has sold 800 digital downloads in just a few days.  He’s currently 83 on the Hot AC chart.  Pretty decent for an independent release.
