Season 6 Idol auditions take place today in Minneapolis's Target Center arena:

More than 7, 000 yellow wrist bands were handed out Wednesday alone to people wanting to audition for the sixth season of the popular TV show.

The total could reach 20, 000, with fans flooding in from neighboring states. No one is guaranteed an audition, but those who have pre-registered and show up on time today have the best shot.
