YIKES. A mishap at a recent 5 Seconds of Summer concert cut the concert short, and sent one of its members to the hospital.
The band was performing at London’s Wembley Arena on Saturday when guitarist Michael Clifford got too close to an on-stage pyrotechnics display. He suffered burns to the head.
Watch the video below. You can see Michael make contact and his hair begin to smoke. He runs to the side to try and put the fire out. After the incident, bandmate Ashton Irwin announced to the crowd, “Michael has hurt himself, so we will not be continuing the show right now. Just want to say thank you so much for coming. He is OK. You guys have been the best crowd we could ever ask for tonight.”
Later, Michael posted a photo to Twitter and Instagram that shows half of his face covered in bandages. “What the f***s up. sorry I couldn’t finish the encore, but at least I look like two face. thanks for worrying every1 x”
