Here’s a followup from the Deseret News regarding Taylor Hicks’s upcoming appearance at the “Stadium of Fire” in Provo, Utah, July 1.
Taylor Macdonald, executive director of America’s Freedom Foundation, the nonprofit that puts on the show every year says, “He’s this big, good-natured kind of all-American upbeat guy, and we thought he’d really be a perfect match for the Stadium of Fire.” Also, according to Macdonald, “the BYU ticket office reported a sharp spike in ticket sales since he first made the announcement on Doug Wright’s talk show on KSL Radio Friday morning.”
Event planners are hoping for record sales with Taylor on the bill. By noon on Friday, more tickets had sold than on any other day since the tickets went on sale.
