Winners for the 2017 Television Critics Association Awards were revealed on August 5 in a ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The event was hosted by Tony and Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth. HBO led all networks with 12 nominations, followed by FX at 11, Netflix at 10, and NBC with seven.
New shows, The Handmaid’s Tale and Atlanta took two awards each. Outstanding Achievement in Reality Programming went to Leah Remini’s Scientology expose for A&E. The TCA is in the midst of their twice yearly press tour, which consists of two weeks of presentations by all the major television networks.
