Don’t miss this EW.com article on the upcoming movie, Dreamgirls. Season 3’s Jennifer Hudson stars as Effie in this highly anticipated film adaption of the Broadway musical. In the article, writer director Bill Condon talks about cutting Jennifer’s Christmas vacation short last year to give her a personal, week long “Diva 101 Class” when he felt she hadn’t yet quite captured the character. The work obviously paid off–the buzz around Jennier’s performance has been incredible. We’re talking Oscar, people. Dreamgirls officially opens in New York, L.A., and San Francisco on Dec. 15, with a wider release on Christmas Day.
