‘I need four injections per day’: X Factor’s Amelia Lily reveals battle against diabetes
X Factor favourite Amelia Lily has revealed that she is battling diabetes.

She has said that her condition is serious, and that there is a possibility that she could go blind if her blood sugar is too high.

The 17-year-old has described how she has to adjust her insulin levels before performing to counterbalance the effects of the adrenaline rush when she is on stage.

AMELIA’S BLINDNESS RISK
BRAVE X Factor star Amelia Lily has revealed she could go blind due to a lifelong battle with severe diabetes.

The plucky 17-year-old is now one of the favourites to win the singing contest after returning to the reality show in last week’s major twist.

But what fans don’t know is that each time Amelia takes to the stage to perform, the extra adrenalin produced in her system could send her into a diabetes-induced coma.

Lifting the lid on her condition, Amelia also told the Daily Star Sunday how she could go blind if the illness is not treated properly.

And just as he expected, Craig Colton was sent home on Sunday’s X Factor results show following the first deadlock of the series.

The heartbroken 22-year-old fought back tears after singing the Shirelles’ Will You Love Me Tomorrow in the sing-off against Amelia Lily.

Kelly Rowland to replace Nicole Scherzinger on X Factor USA?
Kelly Rowland has reportedly impressed Simon Cowell so much this year, that he is considering moving her to his American X Factor series next year.

The Destinys Child star joined the lineup of the UK version earlier in 2011, joining Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh on the British judging panel. She has coined phrases such as ‘put it down’ and ‘booboo’ on the weekly and insiders say that Cowell has been blown away by her energetic nature and magnetic personality on the reality TV show.

The sources claim that the music mogul is now considering replacing Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger on the US panel and one told The Daily Star:

“Simon has been blown away by Kelly.”

“He’s made no secret of the fact he thinks she’s the star of the UK show. Simon’s been less impressed with how Nicole is faring in the US.”

A devastated Kitty Brucknell loses her voice before her G.A.Y performance… but is cheered up with some birthday cake
It was to be a performance at a world-famous nightclub that would put her back on the pop map and possibly even bag herself some more fans in the process.

But her big night at G.A.Y wasn’t meant to be for Kitty Brucknell after she lost her voice just a few hours before.

The devasted X Factor reject was forced to take to the stage at the central London club to profusely apologise for not being able to perform.
