I just received the final Mavid compilation from Kristen. She’s taken every clip of Michael Johns and David Cook’s “special” dancing from “Please Don’t Stop the Music” and edited them all together in a very entertaining video.

Kristen and her friend Desi (whose Tulsa recap will be up in a bit) are attending today’s Ford Day in Detroit, featuring performances from David Cook and David Archuleta. I’m sure we’ll hear more about that later.

Also–Three videos from the Tulsa M&G line from Lisa. They’re short clips of David Archuleta and David Cook greeting fans.

All videos, after the JUMP…

I didn’t watch these videos, but I’ve watched many vids over the months and I’ve enjoyed them.

I think all the idols are talented. I admire all of them and wish them well, but I really only have deep affection for David Cook and Chikesie.

Two guys…one with what looks like a brilliant career before him and one whose career is a mystery. Ah the vagaries of fame.

Argghhh! I can’t open the final Mavid video. I am sure it is great though. I’ve watched them all through the tour, just wanted to see what she came up with as her final effort. Thanks Kristen for spending so much time on this.

Thank you Kristen – that is a classic – I love it. It is so much fun to watch the progression over the tour.

Thank you, Kristen! That must have taken a long time.

My favorite is still the Terrible Towel, I think.

Wow. Great job, Kristen! I loved it and watched it numerous times. I adore the “mad world” part…

  • Layla

Thank you Kristen! That was absolutely awesome…it really was. Are you going to put this on you tube…it would be great to be able to save this for future repeated viewings!

How did you do that…I’d like to do the same if Kristen doesn’t mind. When I right click I don’t get what I need to save.

OMG, I really wasn’t all that into the Mavid thing, but watching them all back to back like that was hysterical. Thank you, Kristen. You deserve some kind of award or something for editing. Brilliant, it was.

Thanks for all the great comments. It was a lot of work trying to synch the songs with the videos but it was worth it! Apparently I’ve watched over 2,853 videos in less than 2 months since I registered with YouTube! If I never hear PDSTM, I think I’ll be okay.

Oh, defintiely feel free to download the video. I did SendSpace and MegaUpload links for just that purpose! It’s a gift that needs to be shared!

There’s also one more video I’m working on. It’s just 8 minutes of Michael dancing! I’ll post it sometime this weekend after I finish with my Ford Day videos.

I also did a video scrapbook of the tour that was almost an hour long that I gave to all the idols in Tulsa. I think that’s too large to post though.

Tulsa was so much fun and the spice dolls were unbelievably clever. I was standing next to Kimberly when she gave DC his spice doll, Sexy Spice, and a little earlier she gave Archie Gosh Spice. Both were so cute and perfect down to the last detail including DC’s bling. That is my arm with the watch on the inside of my wrist saying “we love you David” right at the end of the clip. I was blown away by the creativity of the Word Nerds gifts to David. The plaques that you see given to David towards the end were also really great. They had included lessons learned from the tour and greatest moments on the tour on two separate framed plaques. There were things on them like “when wearing lace up leather pants, double knot.” Almost every stop on the tour was represented somewhere with memorable moments. I was lucky to stand next to these fans and help hand gift bags to David. The generosity and creativity of the David Cook fans was just great to see and I think he was genuinely appreciative. I met some of the nicest people at the meet and greets from all over. Thanks for putting up the videos.

MJ-Are you still going to post Desi’s recap (mentioned above)? I saw her and Kristen in Tulsa, so I’d love to read it-they are so funny.

Thanks, Kristen, for the Complete MAVID! Very funny — Enjoyed the appropriate music that you added. It was a great time — over too soon. But, as you said, looking forward to MJ’s and Cookie’s albums!
