So You Think You Can Dance Top 12 Spoilers!

After this week the judges can’t vote off who they want so the manipulation is in full force!!!! From the spoilers, it seems to me they tried to subtley tell people who to vote for, and I wonder why they are against Evan all of a sudden???

If they end up in the bottom 3, I think Jason and Evan will be in trouble, and its obvious the jduges would get rid of Caitlin over all of the other girls.

How come Ade and Melissa only get dances where Ade needs to lift her up?? lol I want to see them do Hip Hop or something different.

Some of the dance choices last week seemed too good to be random, just saying. This week’s selections seems more fair however.

Tonight’s show might make me cry. I think they are picking on Evan because of his height. Next week the dancers are paired with different partners and all of the girls are taller than Evan, I think. That seems to bug the judges. But I think he would be a good match with Jeanine. Anyway, we’ve got to get this kid in the top 10! I think he has personality galore and I love his style, if he can only get more chances to show it.

I thought Kayla and Kupono did Contemporary last week. I don’t know. Everything they get looks alike to me for the most part.

They definitely are. And I’m only 5’1″ myself, so me not like… lol

I think they want a girl to win this year. I think Jeanette has a really good chance at this point. But the judges are putting Melissa up so we will have to see.

I was wondering about Evan too, he’s definitely a fan favorite so I think that will carry him into the top 10 and beyond but I think Randi will be in trouble once it goes to individual votes only.

Melissa and Ade get a waltz, suprise, suprise.

I’ll be shocked if Janette and Brandon don’t make the finale (top 4). It sounds like they got pimped to the high heavens last night, which seemingly was deserved.

Man, Kayla gets a Mia contemporary after she’s already had two jazz routines (thus, under the umbrella of her specialty 3 out of 6 dances), and Jeanine STILL hasn’t had anything in her specialty? Ridiculous. At least Jason/Caitlin FINALLY get something at least under the umbrella of their specialty, even though it will be largely overshadowed by Mia’s piece. Ugh.

I’m glad Brandon/Janette did well. I like them a lot as a pair, and I really like Janette. She’s fabulous, and IMO has shown that she’s definitely versatile. Can’t wait to see the Wade piece. I’m bummed about the judges being so harsh on Evan though. Poor guy. The bus is headed toward him at breakneck speed, seems like.

I guess we’ll never see Melissa dance hip hop, huh? Probably for the best, but still. I’m not surprised in the least that one of her dances is Waltz. Ade is nothing but a prop to tptb, it seems. I bet y’all anything he partners Kayla next week, so he can lift more people, since that seems to be all the choreography he’s been given requires of him. Again, ridiculous.

I think we need to reset our understanding of what “random” means.

“Random” does not mean that everyone gets a reasonable split of styles both inside and outside their wheelhouse. As a matter of fact, if that happened – it would be highly suspect that the drawings are random. “Random” means that the division of dances will very likely be completely unfair, but that no human intervention is responsible for the unfairness. In other words, blame the hat.

So, to put it another way, the fact the one person gets lots of “easy” dances while someone else gets a lot of “hard” dances is not evidence that the allotment is no longer random. As a matter of fact, it demonstrates the opposite.

Now, if you think the styles should be more evenly distributed, then you are arguing for greater producer intervention in the show. Because it takes a human being to accommodate all the variables and figure out what degree of difficulty would be most fair in a given week.

Just sayin’.

Yes, because it’s so random that Kayla drew out a Brian Friedman routine on his first week back on the show in two years, especially since she reportedly worked with him. It’s also so random that she and Kupono pulled out a Mia routine the week after they “shockingly” land in the bottom 3 and Mia has a cow. Not to mention the connections between Randi/Joey Dowling and Melissa/Thordel (can’t remember his last name).

I’m sorry if that’s a little too much for me to believe that these are coincidences. But, it is.

I thought it was like the Sorting Hat on Harry Potter! It sorted the dance that was most suited to your style and that’s why Melissa never got hip hop. lol

ha, they are giving a Mia routine to Kayla? in hopes of keeping her from the Bottom 3? not happening. nobody likes her, at least not enough to get her into the top 4 or 6…….i wish the judges would at least acknowledge that she lacks viewer appeal and needs to work on her connection w. the dances (they have done it in the past w. Danny)

i love me ade and melissa…but the waltz…..come on!!! i would rather have them do hip hop…i want to see them challenged…thats they only way for them to grow as dancers (outside their comfort zones)

predicted b3: randi & evan….caitlin and jason….kayla and kupono……..i think Kupono NEEDS TO GO HOME (he is not a strong dancer and his lame solo last wk alone should be reason to give him the boot)…..girls….i would say randi over caitlin (maybe)

I really hope that Evan doesn’t land in the bottom three, because I think they’ll send him home if he does. They’re focusing on his height, and don’t seem to think he can handle the dances with the taller girls. But geez, if they’re so concerned about height, why put him through in the first place?

TV guide has put out a list of power rankings of the top 12, in case anyone is interested. I haven’t seen it posted yet. Sorry if I’m repeating.

I may be in the vast minority, but I’m not an Evan fan. He just hasn’t wowed me yet. I’d be fine if he, Jason or Phillip left.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Evan isn’t being picked on because of his height. He’s being picked on because he’s the biggest threat to a female win.

There’s a “Vote for So You Think You Can Dance” app on Facebook. I’m well aware that it is VERY unscientific, however, on there, Evan is by far and away the most popular guy. Only Janette is ahead of him overall, and while she has more votes, he’s being voted on by more users. Together, they have over 44% of the votes and 33% of users voting for them.

In case anyone is interested – the (total vote) order goes: Janette, Evan, Randi, Phillip, Jeanine, Kayla, Melissa, Caitlin, Kupono, Ade, Brandon, Jason.

Scary vote totals not being TCO = getting picked on.

And that is just my opinion. I’d hate to think that they’re actually picking on him because he’s short. That’s just rude.

ETA: I’ve been told that on the FB poll, Kris led for the whole season. So while unscientific, maybe it is quite representative of the voting population as a whole.

I might actually have to break down and vote tonight. I hate it when my favorite gets picked on. Thanks for posting the power poll and the Facebook info, though, because I thought Evan lovers were in the minority (and that the judges were right, because I don’t really know much about dance).
