The So You Think You Can Dance Season 5 Top 10 (we’ll find out tonight who makes the cut!) will embark on a tour that begins in Manchester, NH on September 20.

YAY! I get to go to the very first show!

My money is on Caitlin and Jason (or possibly Kapono) leaving tonight, but I digress.   Actually, tonight’s eliminated dancers will more than likely go on tour too as alternates in case of injuries, so it’s all good.

I plan t attend the show this year.   Are you?

Check out the schedule, after the jump…

I’ll be going. They didn’t come to St. Louis last year, so I caught up with them in Miami!

  • Ladybug

Cool! Two performances not that far from me. I hope I can make one of them.

  • Dr. Tracey

I’ll be at the Manchester show.

  • lilbrusc102

Hoping to go to the Houston one. It’ll be my first time, but it always seems like it’s a good show!

  • SpenserJ

Oh well poo. Our local date is on my husband’s birthday. Somehow, I don’t think I could talk him into going to this!

  • Calliope

I love SYTYCD and enjoy going to the tour, but I think I might pass this year (and that makes me sad). Strangely, this is the first time ever I am going to the AI tour. It’s, like, reverse year.

  • JosieX

I have never been nearly as interested in dance as I am in other forms of art, and I always forget about this show until I see the recaps pop up on here. I ignored them for a long time but started looking at them a couple of weeks ago. MJ, you may be slowly converting me, I’ve enjoyed watching them. I’m sure I won’t go to a show, but if my interest continues to develop, maybe next year!

  • St.Lucia

For those of you who have attended a SYTYCD tour, how is it?

I’ve never been and the only thing I know about dance is what I’ve learned on this show…so basically I can fill a teaspoon.

Is it worth it to go? I’ve really be into this season and I have contemplated spending the money to attend.

I was an uncoordinated child and never took dance but I’ve always loved it and wished I didn’t have two left feet.

  • Dr. Tracey

Is it worth it to go?

If you’ve enjoyed the contestants this season then you will probably enjoy the show.
They take the best and most popular dances from the season and put them together with some extra routines. They put on a good show, I wasn’t disappointed and thought it was worth the money.
It’s not unlike the AI tour if you’ve been to one of those, same sort of set up, merchandise etc.

I went 2 years ago and really enjoyed it! The ticket prices weren’t bad – but they may be more now?

  • stelladallas

Is the stage and seating set up so that you can actually see the dancers? Or is it similar to the AI tour? If so, I can’t imagine being able to see much unless you were lucky enough to sit right up front. I am hoping that not as many tickets are sold and the setting is more intimate.

  • Dr. Tracey

I saw the AI tour and the SYTYCD tour in the same arena and for the dance tour they extended the stage out slightly. I sat about midway down the arena off to the side and I could see everything very well.

  • Grammie Kari

I went to Season 7 Idols tour (great time), and the SYTYCD tour will be in the same arena. This is Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. I have the same questions as everyone else. This would be my first opportunity to see the dancers.

Has anyone been there to see SYTYCD? Is it worth attending?

  • ladybugs1879
