After One Direction‘s music video leaked in Russia and a radio station in Italy played the embargoed single, SYCO stopped wasting our time and premiered “Live While We’re Young” first on BBC Radio 1 and now on VEVO. BBC Radio 1 played the song 2 times in a row. “Live While We’re Young” is the most pre-ordered single in history.

NEW YORK, Sept. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — COLUMBIA RECORDS — One Direction have brought forward the radio and video premiere of their brand new single “Live While We’re Young” to today, September 20th.

The hugely anticipated single will premiere on radio today at 12pmET. The music video, directed by Vaughan Arnell, will premiere on VEVO worldwide at 1pm ET.

An unauthorized, poor quality version of the video leaked online this morning prompting Syco/Columbia Records to bring forward the premiere of the single by four days. The band did not feel that it was right or appropriate for the fans to hear the track as this illegal upload, so they have responded quickly, and sent out a message to fans this afternoon via a live Twitcam announcing the new plans.

    Cute boys in wet t-shirts hanging all over each other?  The teen girls who read and write 1D slash fanfic and all the old perverts should be thrilled!  They know what their fans want, for sure.

    I hate/like the song. It’s stupid and they should move on to something a bit more mature, but the “woah-o-woah-o-woah-o” is kind of stuck in my head.

    They sure look like having a lot of fun.  Very catchy.  Kinda too simple and immature, but it hardly matters. I sense a huge hit, again.

    “I know we only met but let’s pretend it’s love”? “Tonight let’s get some”? Isn’t that a bit “mature” for their tween fans? Not the tweens themselves so much as the concerned parents listening to the lyrics, or do people only care about lyrical appropriateness with young female singers??

    Which one of the boys is singing lead on this? I honestly don’t know who is who in this group.

    The song is quite catchy. It’s a fluffy song in terms of the rather simplistic lyrics, but that probably doesn’t really matter that much. It’s radio friendly and it’s probably going to be eaten up by 1D’s target tween/teen demo.

    They’re poised to break Le Beibs stranglehold on the teen/tween market – for that I kinda like them a little bit – heh. Beibs is played out with all that fake gangsta swagga BS, it’s time for a new Kings of Teen – 1D is as good as any. I’m so sick of Beiber I don’t really care who the next shiny new teen sensation is.

    Van Halen, by way of Ray Davies and The Kinks – Van Halen’s cover was pretty nice, but I prefer the Kinks lol… One of the most famous riffs in rock history… Funny how everything ‘old’ becomes ‘new’, lol… Yeah, I hear strains of that Kinks song in the opening… What a great song to start the workday off with – Enjoy!! (Ray was a real cutie in his prime, lol)

    View count: 3,939,986 (displayed under the video), but if I search search for the video, I see 5,135,147 views on the list of videos. The video is gaining views fast and Vevo/Youtube is slow at verifying.
