Yikes.

Radio premiere of One Direction‘s new single “Live While We’re Young” is scheduled for Monday on BBC Radio 1. I guess the video premiere was also scheduled for some time next week. BUT … the video leaked.

    Video killed for copyright apparently.  I like these guys.  Very magnetic energy – super modern catchy songs. 

    Who writes their songs?  Maybe they can write for Adam Lambert too so he can get away from his trite lyrics and 80′s sound.  BTW, I’m HUGE Lambert fan but HATE his new album.  Only decent song is Broken English.  The rest is utter contrived dreck.  Disappointed.  Just my opinion, YMMV.

    So I found it on Utube and Ummm Wow that is uh well…let me see…. young/immature looking video. I thought they had said they wanted to progress or have different material or something like that. That song felt exactly like their up all night song. I dare them to play those songs back to back in a concert. Ummm Were they saying “let’s get some” well that’s mature i’ll give them that.

    It was kidish and generic it should do fine. I mean the song is already doing great I heard it went number 1 in multiple countries on just pre-orders. And a bunch of kids are going to love them goofing around and playing in the water. That just wasn’t my taste but then i’m not their target audience. I hope they have some more serious//mature songs on the album. In their first album I thought a few of their ballads were pretty.

    Of course you’re not their target audience.  They’re targeting tweens, teens and college aged young adults.  And they love having silly, goofy fun.  They’re not after anything too deep.

    Anyhoo, saw a LQ version of the video.  Looks SUPER fun.  They’re gonna rack up the views.

    History does repeat itself. This reminds me of the Jonas Brothers sound circa 2007 & 2008 when they were the biggest tween act out there. With 1D rising and likely eclipsing Bieber in the next year or two, it will really make it difficult for the Jonas Brothers to reclaim their crown. The success of their upcoming world tour will really be critical if they want to progress to a legitimate adult band.
