So sad if this is the direction Idol is going. I like it when it’s about the kids and finding good singers/entertainers, have no interest whatsoever in watching crazy judges. I only watch Idol of all the vocal shows and if this is where it’s going, I’ll have more free time.

You can tell I am around young children a lot!  I haven’t posted that long on Twitter, and I haven’t seen anyone writes posts like that.  Is that what Nicki is like in real life?  I agree that younger contestants may not know how to handle her.  I was even imagining if it was someone like Brooke White.   Nicki? Not good.

I think Nigel knows how to not let the judges overshadow the contestants. Even though Steven and JLo were big stars, they still did a good job on making the contestants the main attraction. I don’t think that will change as long as Nigel is around.

All you have to do is read that junk conversation.  They might as well rename the show while they’re at it to American Idol Unleashed or Gone Wild.  If that’s the NEW(& especially appealing to teens now), no thanks.  Even S. Tyler who could be kind of crass was at least funny w/it).  This is being more about the judges just like the other shows.  I may not like the “squeaky clean” that rules AI, the show(what was expected of contestants to “win it”)….  but I, like most people am not a prude either & can take bleeps & off-color comedy & don’t always look for politcally correct, but then there’s the extreme that never s.b. American Idol.  Maybe American Ideals is what people were looking for before–we probably were misinterpreting that all along(sarcasm).  Again, no thanks to that change (up?).  Who cares who #3 is, only Randy could probably laugh enough to make this look normal.  Great for ratings tho I suppose, but no for me.  But then, it IS new audience they’re looking for.  As always, IMO.
