Just downloaded “Hit the Road Jack”, because of Haley of course. ;)

    Good stuff!

I have been listening to Casey’s album all day.  I love it. His duet with Haley is just amazing.  It is well worth buying it at Walmart as you get 2 bonus tracks that are covers. “Eleanor Rigby” and “Have You Ever Seen The Rain”.

Plan to buy Casey’s. Just wondering if there is any difference between sellers in Canada?

By the way I still haven’t received the CD I bought from Kris’s website. Did get a note from them saying it might be slow. But this is ridiculous.

You should e-mail them again, just to make sure it is in process.

” It is well worth buying it at Walmart as you get 2 bonus tracks that are covers. “Eleanor Rigby” and “Have You Ever Seen The Rain”.”

Aww, this is the first I heard about bonus tunes. Too late – I have the digital iTunes download. It’s OK – if it’s a question of a Beatles cover, especially “Eleanor Rigby”, I’ll stick with DC’s cover – and I’ve been traumatized enough (jk – I think) by adaptations of CCR – the original “Have You Ever Seen Rain” has the mood and the attitude of the time it was written – works for me.

Sometime in the future, if there’s a special one day sale or something like is going on this week for the anniversary of TLM, ($2.99!) I’ll pick up a WalMart copy.

Yeah, I will. Been crazy busy the last few weeks so it fell under the radar.

I still like to purchase the physical CD’s of music artists.  I do realize that CD’s might not be around much longer. lol It seems like everyone downloads at itunes now. Casey is now #11 on POP iTunes albums. Good for him.

IKWYM – if I really like the music after playing it for a bit, I’ll get both – digital and physical. Keeps it completely portable. And I do really like Casey’s album! That’s great news about being #11! I tried to check earlier, but my feed wasn’t co-operating.

I actually like the other songs on Rachel’s album, which surprised me. :) This is a fun album. “Rock With You” is on repeat. It has a great beat.

Went to get Casey’s Deluxe at Walmart, I also only heard about the bonus songs today.  A Solid Effort, the two standout songs for me are “Blame it On Me” and “Wore Out My Soul”.  Of the bonus song’s I preferred the CCR cover over his Beatles’ cover.  Worth the $10 for sure :D
“Hit The Road Jack” is 100% Jazzy Haley vocals, she’s in her element on this song.

Seeing Alex Lambert’s name on the writing credit for Chris’ new single prompted me to check out his Twitter avi, and Oh My he’s gotten really cute (he was cute before, but amazing now) and I lurked on his instrgram and saw a couple pics fr the past month, and same thing -  super cute. He’s gotten to be the cutest ex-idol I’ve seen; I think L.A. Reid, or another exec. WILL develop him into a big time recording star. His voice and looks are going to propel him now.  Also, when you see essentially a recording act as a writer, that’s a sign they are going to promote him with a lot of vigor, some exs. - Bruno Mars and Jessie J., same path

Casey now on iTunes: # 40 Overall Albums #11 Pop Albums.

  • Mateja Praznik

It looks like Amy Winehouse’s goddaughter Dionne Bromfield has a writing credit on one of Rachel Crow’s songs (My Kind of Wonderful).

Haley sounds better on HTRJ than any song on her album IMO. It’s just a better sound for her, much like metal brings out unique nuances in James’ voice that other genres don’t same can be said about jazz WRT Haley’s voice. If things don’t work out with Interscope I hope Haley gets picked up by Concord or a similar label, or even better, forms a Sonny & Cher like duo with Casey. If those 2 team up as an act, they’ll be reeling in the Grammies in no time.
