Phil Stacey is really blowing up on CAC. It’s a small format (but moves units out of proportion to its audience size), but he’s spincrease was 137, almost 50% higher than the next biggest spincrease.

Jordin is also flying up that Pop chart.

Dr. Luke does a lot of pop songs. He co-write Kelly’s “Since U Been Gone” and “My Life Would Suck Without You”. He’s also the dude who got sued for plagiarism for Avril’s “Girlfriend”.

He is a very successful writer.

Since no one else will, I’m going to say Yeah Kris and NB! I know AC isn’t a great format, but I’m personally glad it’s still getting radio play.

CAC= Country or Christian Adult Contemporary?

Yay for Phil!:-D His Philnatics will be excited to hear this. He himself tweeted excitedly how in his travels he was hearing the song playing often. Now if August will get here for the cd, lol. Some of his audiences, which will include the Philippines coming up in July, will hear more of his new songs even before I do, but it is a very exciting opportunity for him.

CBTM has been gaining spins again little by little on CHR, and it actually has a positive bullet once more. In fact, it appears to be not that far away from re-entering the Top 50.

So, for those of you who are obsesssively tracking its progress, is this just because the stations that added it in the beginning still love it? Or are there any new CHR stations test-driving it which would indicate that, against all odds, it has a chance to pick up addtional adds there yet and may find second life?

I read one theory that said CHR is starting to take notice because of its performance on HAC. But, it hasn’t even cracked top ten on HAC yet, so I don’t know how plausible that is. Anyway, I wish the song would make up its damn mind, on both formats. Either rise, or fall so DC can get something new out there. But, just stop hovering!

Today it is one freaking spin behind Daughtry, who’s #10 on HAC (2162 vs. 2163 spins). It’ll get there.
I’m fine with moving on to the next single, though, just as soon as RCA is ready… LOL

I skimmed the numbers thread on DCO, and I don’t want to speak for anyone, but I think I read that the “regulars” (obsessive trackers) don’t think a gain of few spins is really indicating any kind of a trend reversal, at least not yet.
