    Amazing.

I’m sorry, she’s still a shreeky singer that can’t hit those high notes well (and tries to disguise them with that melisma trick). She’s better than Casey Abram though ;)

Granted it’s hard to do without music, but to my ears, that was indeed screechy and unpleasant.  LOL on her stage patter!  ”Hot enough for you?”

    AMAZING rendition.
Love Kat. She looked so beautiful too.
I am also so excited about Smash and season 2. Can´t wait!

I think you are confusing melisma for talent.

    LOL. @ this comment.

Kat did a nice job. I wasn’t too fond of the choppiness of the phrasing, but still a good job.

    Don’t worry, I didn’t understand the comment either ;)

    That sounded fine to me.

No confusion, Zach. She can’t hit high notes and she covers it up with that trick a lot of singers use.  It was okay…. like I said, it was better than Casey Abrams’ version.

I thought she sounded good too.

boy can that girl SING!!!!!!    and WOW is she BEAUTIFUL!!!!   a TRIPLE THREAT!

She has a great voice, I’d like to hear her sing it without the choppy phrasing, though.  I think her tone is beautiful.

Looking forward to the second season of Smash!

A leisurely rendition (Simon would say self-indulgent).  I’m glad I wasn’t standing through that whole thing with my hand on my sweaty chest.  It’s really a guy song….about war and bombs and stuff.

It was my first time hearing her live, and I gotta say, it was fantastic, especially when I was standing 10 feet away from her. This girl is a GEM! Love her.

She’s gorgeous as always, but I liked her voice better on Smash.  The National Anthem is just not her thing.

omg. She’s so amazing. Love her voice and love how natural (non fake) she is.  I think there was a sharp note, but she is lovely!!!

That was not her best, but there is something very real and pretty about her.

That’s so nice of you to say.

That didn’t sound so great to me either, but I love her voice. Her “Somewhere over the Rainbow” is perfection.

I got to meet her afterwards and she is so glamorous but down to earth. :)
