Jessica Sanchez sang the National Anthem before tonight’s NBA Final Game in Oklahoma City. The Miami Heat face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

She changed it up a little from her performance over the weekend. Still, another spectacular National Anthem from Jessica.

    “through the night” not “to the night”  this is the second time she got the words wrong….but boy can she sing!!

    I think she is confused about the lyric…she sang “to the night” at another venue

    I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed. I thought maybe my hearing was going. :) At first I couldn’t believe she got it wrong, so I rewound and watched her lips as she sang it. I figured maybe just nerves or whatever, but if she sang that same line somewhere else too, then someone should correct her. Her dad is in the military, I’m sure he will. Though she’s probably been performing the NA since she was born. Not to take anything away from her talent, though. I still think she’s awesome, and she was my favorite this year. Great role model for a 16-year old.

    I just checked the version she sang during her San Diego homecoming….it sounds like “to” instead of “through”. I’m surprised no one close to her has mentioned the possible flub or the fact that others may hear it as one if she isn’t pronouncing “through” clearly enough to avoid embarrassment.

    I just searched “to the night” on twitter. It appears that some others criticized Jessica as well…but not many at all. Maybe she sings it too well to notice…

    she did it AGAIN today… gave proof TO the night at the White House Egg Roll deal. I thought it was just me being crazy but evidently she does this a lot.
