Did Carly Rae manage to fend off the challengers for one more week at number one on the Hot 100 (it’s going to be a close race). Next week is definitely go to Swift. That song is selling like hotcakes on iTunes and just broke a one day airplay record (plus 44.164M AI increase in one day on Mediabase). And just how many units did Phil sell at the top of the Digital Chart last week? And how about those album numbers?

This is the weekly sales thread. Please post numbers as you find them. Thanks!

IdolsNow ?@idolsnowDAVID ARCHULETA’s “Begin.” debuts on the Top Internet Albums chart at #3. @DavidArchie

This should give people an idea of how many physical albums are purchased online.

That’s interesting. #28 on the regular chart and #3 on the Internet chart?? As you said, that really indicates just what percentage of sales happen online for most albums. It also makes me sigh and wonder again what Archie might have sold if there were easily available albums in stores.
Found this article from Billboard talking about Internet Sales chart and even mentions what it might mean when there’s a large discrepancy between Top 200 ranking and Internet Sales ranking: http://www.billboard.com/news/billboard-online-expands-internet-sales-946941.story

The prediction is based on what the song could do over the next four days. It will have to keep selling at its current pace over that time period to reach the 500,000 mark.

Wonder if Brian Mansfield forgot about Idol sales numbers today?  According to his tweets, he was working and not experiencing any health problems.

According to this interview (the interviewer references James’ PR) MOABD has sold, in total, over 150k:

Great interview, although the guy was pretty clueless about James, except for the wrestling facts, lol.
It’s great we finally got merch totals from the tour. Seems he sold over 50k more on tour of MOABD. Nice.
    Wind-Up must be pretty happy:)

50k for only 4 months of touring is damn good!

  • justmefornow

And a lot of those venues were in the 1500 to 2000 seat size too. Except for the festivals that were obviously way bigger, that’s amazing he sold that much!
I wonder if the bulk of that was at Rock on the Range and the couple other festivals he played. Fans of those other bands he toured with obviously liked what they heard!
    Bodes well for album #2.

Great numbers for James-it will only get better once more and more people get to hear and see him.  He is awsome live! (I am starting to like the new Do)

Good job James!  It’s great to see him doing well and a great example to those with “disabilities” which obviously don’t have to limit your dreams.
