‘American Idol’ in Iowa – “The American Idol Small Town Bus Tour” is visiting 10 communities across America, and Rock Rapids, Iowa, is on the list. With a population of 2,600, Rock Rapids is, by far, the smallest community on the current schedule. The next smallest community is Clarksdale, Miss., with a population of just less than 18,000. “We’re excited,” said Angie Jager, Chamber of Commerce director in Rock Rapids. “We’re the smallest of the 10 towns, and we’re expecting it to bring over 1,000 people to town.” – Read more at The Daily Globe

‘American Idol’ Alum Stefano Langone Caters to Latino Fans With New Album – The singer tells Fox News Latino the harsh reality for those who competed on the show hits once they are given a plane ticket and sent back home immediately after getting booted off. “After you get off the show is thanks for coming see you later. Then they (former contestants) are back at home and a lot of people go into depression.” “I turned down the ticket and I stayed in a motel for a few weeks,” Langone said. “You have to have an idea, and be driven because if not you are screwed.” – Read more at FOX News

Randy Travis – Locals RUSHED to Jail – to Give Him $$$, Clothes – Randy Travis was NOT wearing a Texas Longhorns hat at the time of his naked arrest … it was a gift from a local attorney who rushed to the jail the second he heard the country star was in trouble. TMZ has learned … moments after word got out about Travis’ arrest, several locals raced over to the jail to help out — one man posted Randy’s cash bond and another man offered legal services right away. The lawyer was Gary Corley … who tells TMZ the area around Sherman, TX is a close-knit community where the people take care of each other … and he wanted to “do the humanitarian thing” and help Travis. – Read more at TMZ

David and Elton pulled a moonie in St Tropez at the X Factor boss when their boats passed each other on the French Riviera. David shouted across to Simon: “I’ve got something for you.” Then he bared his backside, with Elton following shortly afterwards. Pink Brings Brand-New Music To 2012 VMAs! – “Being a part of the VMAs for me is extra special because my mom never let me used to watch MTV as a little girl,” Pink told MTV News recently. “I would watch it anyway but she would also try and ground me but then I would just sneak out my window and go to someone’s house that had MTV so to be on MTV is quite ironic.” The Grammy winner’s 2012 VMA performance will be her third overall, an experience the singer said she always looks forward to because of the laid-back, rock-and-roll atmosphere of the show. – Read more at MTV
