Clarkson stars at Endymion parade – NEW ORLEANS — Pop star Kelly Clarkson will ride as celebrity grand marshal when the Krewe of Endymion parade rolls on the Saturday before Mardi Gras in 2013. Clarkson was the first winner of the Fox reality show “American Idol” in 2002. Her hits include “A Moment Like This” and “Because of You.” The krewe said she also will perform at Endymion’s ball at the Superdome after the parade. Clarkson may be upstaged at the Feb. 9 parade by a float organizers bill as the largest and most elaborate in Carnival history. – Read more at Huffington Post

Whoopi Goldberg, Adam Lambert and More Set for ‘Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays’ Concert, 12/8 – Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays star-studded benefit concert will be held on Saturday, December 8th at New York City’s Beacon Theatre to help raise awareness about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth homelessness and support the True Colors Fund’s Forty to None Project. Skylar Laine to Perform at Los Angeles Rock ‘N’ Roll Half Marathon – Season 11’s Skylar Laine is scheduled to perform the National Anthem for the Los Angeles Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon THIS Sunday! She will perform for over 12,000 runners all decked out in costumes for the Halloween themed race! There will even be a Halloween costume contest at the finish line. DeWyze to perform at benefit gala – Musician, former “American Idol” champ and Mount Prospect native Lee DeWyze will perform at the annual Demand Cures Today Gala to benefit cancer research on Saturday, Nov. 3, in Chicago. The event will celebrate new cancer research and treatment options while raising money for research. DeWyze, who lost a grandfather to cancer when he was a child, will be the evening’s special guest. Hayden Panettiere Ties Up a Tattooed Lover in Country Music Video – Guys, watch out for Hayden Panettiere! The actress, who plays seductive country starlet Juliette Barnes on Nashville, has got the vixen thing down (not to mention a darn good twang!) in a brand new music video for “Telescope,” the ABC show’s first official single to be released. Performing as Juliette, Panettiere makes her “cheatin’, schemin'” tattooed lover (played by actor Daniel Ness) pay by stringing him up with rope and hanging him upside down. – Watch the video at People Magazine

X Factor Producers Not “Worried” About Britney Spears on Upcoming Live Shows, Say Sources – While Fox has no comment, sources at X Factor tell us that’s not true. “No one is worried about Britney any more,” says one insider. “She’s proven she can do this. Even her critics have come around.” Adds another source who works on the show: “We have seen nothing to be concerned about. [Britney] has been professional.”

‘Glee’s’ Ryan Murphy, Chris Colfer, Top Designers Swarm THR’s Design Showhouse Party – Colfer, who plays Kurt Hummel on the hit Fox musical comedy, told THR that he was a fan of comfort when it came to design. “Whenever there’s comforting colors or light colors, I’m a little more relaxed,” he said. However, he admitted that his own home isn’t filled with the luxurious designs of the showhouse. “Most of my furniture – it’s so embarrassing – has been furniture that I’ve had my entire life,” he told THR. “Just hand-me-downs that I painted and made work from my parents.” But he was eying an item in Fong’s hallway that he wouldn’t mind adding to his own place. “I saw this cockroach, this huge wooden cockroach, that I love,” he said. “Because I think it’d be cool just to have a roach, just to own it, and say, ‘I got roaches.’” – Read more at The Hollywood Reporter
