Haley Reinhart introduces her cover of Blind Faith’s “Can’t Find My Way Home” talking about growing up on classic rock and that she remembers her dad performing the song when she was a little girl.

The performance is from a concert at Room 5 lounge last week in Los Angeles. As a super-special bonus, watch Haley sing “God Bless the Child at Carnegie Hall where she and Casey Abrams performed with the Irvin Mayfield band on October 8.

Beautiful ! Nice guitar work too.

    That was lovely.

Can’t Find My Way Home is one of my all-time favorite songs. Haley does a very nice job covering it.

so much soul, texture and nunance in her voice.  I love it.

Does anyone know if or when Oh My is going to be released to radio?

I think as well as hope and pray it is a hit!

I think there is a ‘mighty’ ;) battle going on behind the scenes regarding “Oh My”
I think TPTB like the response to “Undone” but Haley favors “Oh My” (she changes it up a bit more in her Room 5/Guitar assisted version.)

Note how much more comfortable she is on stage… :D

No word. Someone said they knew someone related to someone at a radio station who said “Undone” would be released as a single in November. That’s the only rumor that states anything specific. In her statements though, Haley would clearly prefer “Oh My.” I suppose to her promoting “Undone” would be like deja vu given that “Free” is also a slow-tempo song about a broken relationship.

Just for fun, I did a Fan ‘tribute’ video for Haley’s GBTC performance, to commemorate the event.

It includes Irvin Mayfield Jr’s glowing introduction of Haley, and the radio broadcast of the performance layered over with the ‘scratch and pop’ audio to make it sound like an old fashioned LP record

I’m thinking of making a video of Mayfield jr’s final song of the night dedicated to his Father (a victim of Katrina)…it was THE performance of the night and is a shame no one has posted it yet…

    Wonderful as always from Haley.

“Oh My!” should be Haley’s next single if they give her one. Having B.o.B on it will open new ears to her music, which is exactly what she needs right now.

When Haley finally goes on tour, she should do same thing as Kelly C. does and cover different song at each concert. Simply because, just as Kelly, Haley is able to sing anything a do it justice.

What is going on with possible tour plans? I haven’t heard anything about that lately.

I have pretty much lost faith that Haley will get a 2nd single. But if she does get one, I wouldn’t expect the label to push it very hard. It’ll be too bad if that happens, though — just another wasted opportunity.

Boy that would be a treat …. :D

I was there!! She was wondderful! Great intimate venue!

Her voice is such a wonderful fit for these songs.  Back when they were all coming out, there were no women.  None.  Except for Grace Slick and Janice (RIP).  Hard to imagine now, but it was the norm.  I’d buy an album of her covering these.

  • roarpen

Exquisite. I would love to see Hayley tour with her own band. Does she play an instrument? I could see her as the next Diana Krall.

I’d love to see that as well. She’s said in interviews she plays jazz piano but she likes having nails more.

  • Nadine_Bitch

How refreshing to watch someone singing without a pitch problem… gotta listen to it again:)

Oh, I had totally forgotten about ‘Can’t Find My Way Home’. How lovely hearing Haley singing it. Needs a better ending, but that was quite good. I’s buy an album of her singing some of these ‘old school’ songs.

Love Haley’s performances. She has gotten even better with time and experience. I love her interpretations of old songs. Can’t wait till she releases another new single or album. Listen up was a wonderful piece of work from her.
