Glee Season 6 Finale Songs 2009 Dreams Come True AUDIO

Glee Season 6 Finale Songs – Listen to ALL THE SONGS from “2009” & “Dreams Come True”

This is it kiddos. The VERY LAST Glee song post! The two hour series finale is this week. After that, Glee will be just a memory.

The first hour, titled “2009,” will take us back to the time of the pilot. We’ll find out the circumstances that lead each of the originals–Rachel, Kurt, Mercedes, Tina and Artie–to add their name to that New Directions sign up sheet. We’ll also learn more about Will and his relationship to Sue, Emma and his wife. The episode IS the pilot, but from different viewpoints.

The song list includes Artie and Tina’s FULL audition songs, one last Broadway duet between Rachel and Kurt, and an emotional gospel song from Mercedes sung at her church. The episode will end with the original “Don’t Stop Believing” video.  That should bring on the waterworks.

2009 Songs

I Kissed a Girl by Katy Perry – Tina’s audition song

I’m His Child by Zella Jackson Price – Mercedes sings at her church

Pony by Ginuwine – Artie’s audition song.  Artie’s audition song wasn’t revealed in the pilot. Aren’t you glad you finally know? Heh.

Popular from Wicked – Rachel and Kurt – One more Wicked duet from Rachel and Kurt.  And that completes the Hummelberry Wicked trilogy of Defying Gravity, For Good and now, Popular.

Don’t Stop Believing by Journey – The original recorded has been added to the EP.

But don’t put away those tissues! The second hour, “Dreams Come True” begins in the present and eventually takes us five years down the road. We’ll see where all our favorite characters are at in the year 2020.  The episode ends with “I Lived” by OneRepublic. It’s a big, emotional curtain call, featuring nearly every single cast member who has appeared on Glee.  Make sure you’re ARMED WITH TISSUES.

Dreams Come True Songs

Teach Your Children by Crosby Stills & Nash – Will – Sung as a love letter to the Glee club.

Someday We’ll Be Together by Diana Ross and the Supremes – Mercedes – Perfect song for a perfect moment.

Daydream Believer by The Monkees – Kurt and Blaine – One last Klaine duet. Hear those kids in the background? SPECULATE AWAY. My opinion? Blaine graduates from college and becomes a teacher.

The Winner Takes It All by Abba – Will and Sue – Did we really need another Will/Sue duet? Nope. But it’s here. Whadaya gonna do.

This Time written by Darren Criss – Rachel – Darren Criss wrote a big emotional power ballad for Lea Michele to sing as her last Rachel solo. It’s as much about Rachel’s Glee journey as it is a love letter to the passionate fans of the show.

I Lived by OneRepublic – Every Cast Member Ever – Curtain Call – I am preparing myself to cry buckets, people, BUCKETS during this number. As much frustration as I’ve felt over the show’s missteps, and the way the show runner’s wasted their capital, I STILL love Glee, and will always feel an emotional attachment to it.
