Glee Season 5 Spoilers: FULL SONG LIST for “New Directions” Episode 13

Hey Gleeks. Check out these song spoilers for The Glee Season 5 episode “New Directions.” It’s the second part of the 100th episode celebration, Episode 13, and is set to air Tuesday March 25.

Be advised that songs can be cut or replaced. We reported a Gwyneth Paltrow song spoiler for Episode 12 “100” that was changed.

Caveat out of the way, here is the full song list for “New Directions” episode 5×13.

  • “I Am Changing” from Dreamgirls – Kurt and Mercedes
  • “Total Eclipse of The Heart” by Bonnie Tyler – Will and April (Kristin Chenoweth)
  • “Party All the Time” by Eddie Murphy – Holly (Gwyneth Paltrow)
  • “Loser Like Me” – (Sung as a Ballad) – Blaine, Sam, Artie and Tina.
  • “Be Okay” by Ingrid Michaelson Oh Honeys – Rachel and Santana.
  • “Just Give Me a Reason” by Pink and Nate Ruess – Quinn and Puck
  • “Don’t Stop Believing” – Rachel, Kurt, Artie, Blaine, Tina and Will.

Three of the songs are fan-voted “Remixes” – “Total Eclipse of the Heart”, “Loser Like Me”, and “Don’t Stop Believing.” This new performance of DSB will be the 4th performance of the song, including the epic “Pilot” performance, The 1st season’s “Regionals” episode, and Rachel’s Funny Girl audition in season 3.

The 13th episode will be bittersweet for all, as the storyline moves fully to New York City, and we say goodbye to the newbies, Marly (Melissa Benoist), Jake (Jacob Artist), Ryder (Blake Jenner), Unique (Alex Newell) and Kitty (Becca Tobin). No definitive word on what’s going to happen to McKinley seniors, Sam (Chord Overstreet), Blaine (Darren Criss), Artie (Kevin McHale) and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz). But, it’s easy to speculate.

  • Pretty Horsey

I hope these songs end up changed because I don’t want most of them especially Don’t Stop Believing again.

Not looking forward to Quick happening.

  • marie line

    not klaine duet, not interested

  • Ajking

The fact that this ep is graduation and is mostly focusing on guest stars and characters not on the show anymore is annoying. The seniors deserve focus just like the first batch got.

  • colorbars

Wow, what an awful list, I really hope these are ALL changed. Only 3 are remixes? Another Will/April duet? Another Rachel/Santana duet? Puck/Quinn singing a love song? Slowing down Loser Like Me? Don’t Stop Believin AGAIN? Awful, awful choices.

  • Mike

Adding Blaine into DSB had better not mean that he has taken what were Cory’s vocals. Blaine is Not and never will be Cory’s replacement. He is also not and never will be one of the ‘originals’. Blaine is the worst character on the show, played by one of the worst actors. I really really wish Glee would stop trying to make him into the lead. Stop shoving him down our throats. We are already past gagging point.

  • Cel

Please, Please let it be that Kurt singing ‘I Am Changing’ means that he has come to his senses and realizes that he firstly, he is way too young to be settling down to married life, secondly, that he has so much talent and potential, but he needs to find a focus, and thirdly and most importantly, that he dumps Blaine’s cheating, narcissistic arse. I hope that in singing this song, he and Mercedes realize that there are way better opportunities both in life and relationships for both of them.

  • JoleneJ

Keep hope alive. Keep it all the way until the season 6 Klaine wedding! Never give up hope.

Liking the ideas behind some of these songs, particularly “I am changing” and “Loser Like Me”. The kids of GLEE are growing, changing, feeling scared. So is the show.

GLEE has a lot to do in this episode. Graduate the seniors, say goodbye to the newbies and do the usual 100th “tick a hundred boxes from the past” thing. It might be a bit of a grab bag but it will be interesting.
Not worried about Blaine, since we pretty much know that the seniors are going to NYC. There are lots of story opportunities for them in the next few episodes as they find their feet in the big city
    .
This is an ensemble piece. Every character cannot occupy centre-stage every week.

  • klainiac

I have several issues here. First of all if this is graduation it should be focused more on the seniors saying goodbye like they did in season 3. And if the poor newbies are getting the boot should they get a couple songs? As much as I love Kristen Chenoweth and Gwnyeth Paltrow I don’t think they needed to be in the 2nd half which should be more focused on the seniors. Also, why are we only getting 8 of the 10 remixes that were originally promised? I mean we know Dog Days Are Over was voted in because they cut it from the last episode and I think we can safely assume, despite all the hate, that 10 was Teenage Dream as it was one of their best selling songs ever. I’m kind of disappointed.
And I wasn’t going to do this, but lay off Blaine. He’s not going anywhere and Ryan Murphy has already guaranteed that Kurt is getting married so I mean it’s a done deal. And how come when everyone talks about him not being an origianl they don’t throw Sam in the mix? They’ve been around for just about the same amount of time.

Hope you have fun watching the rest of the show.

  • Kariann Hart

I hate reading of people this young getting married.

  • Kelly

I really want Kurt and Blaine to sing Somewhere Only We Know to each other.

  • Brenda Novoa

How did you think we felt for four years having to swallow FInchel all the frigging time.

  • Brenda Novoa

But IT happens in real life it happens

  • Jennifer Bridgett Fumero

A Puck and Quinn duet should have happened in Season 1!!! The ship has sailed and it’s long overdue. I’m just happy Quinn sings twice.

  • klainiac

While I see what you are saying about getting married young, it isn’t always a mistake. If they wait until the end of the series they will be 21 and 20 and not too long ago that was a perfectly acceptable age to get married. I myself got married at 22 and am still happily married a decade later.
Also, TV is different from real life. A lot of people, myself included, want to see them get their happily ever after and barring a time jump within the series that is going to happen while they are young. All TV shows have a limited shelf life so I think that there is room to cut them some slack when it comes to the timing of things.
Also I think that in order to truly enjoy Glee you have to put reality aside while you are watching it. Just sit back and enjoy the ride!

  • klainiac

I wanted either a Teenage Dream duet or for Kurt to sing it to Blaine. That song needs to be a happy memory again…

  • Kelly

Or that. That would be amazing.

  • Pretty Horsey

I don’t think any of the songs were really voted in for the episode. I think it was just a publicity stunt to drum up interest.

  • Robert

The episode may be graduation but the plot for the 100th episode (of which this is the second part) is about the Glee club being disbanded. The seniors have a song together which is more than last year’s group got and god forbid the characters that made this show a success get a little focus in the 100th episode. Quinn, Puck, Holly, and April are only here for these episodes so of course they are going to sing, Glee always lets its guest stars sing.

  • whatever w

My sincere message to the newbies: Don’t Let The Door Hit You on Your Way Out!!!!!

  • Paige

You know who else made this show a success? Klaine. Like them or not, their relationship will be one of the main things that this show will be remembered for. And yet, no sign of them in the 100th. The fact is, the actual 100th episode (5.12) is already paying homage to Quinn, Puck, Santana, Brittany, Hummelberry, and the guest stars. It’s not unreasonable for people to think that the second half should be focused on the current batch of seniors, ESPECIALLY since the episode was billed as being about them, and the people who voted in that poll were told that they would be the main ones singing. Also, I realize that it was almost two years ago now, but since your memory has failed you, the last group of seniors? Got to sing ‘Glory Days’ and ‘You Get What You Give’, and the entire episode, hell, most of the season was dedicated to their graduation and their future plans.

  • Robert

Neither Glory Days or You Get What You Give had ALL the seniors on it which was the point I was making. I get that you’re angry but I DON”T get why you seem to be angry with me. This comment is rude and unnecessary. Lots of people watch Glee for lots of different reasons and I don’t need you lecturing me about what did or did not make this show a success. You can easily state your opinion (emphasis on OPINION) without being rude!

  • dreamr23

Quick! Quick! Quick! Eeeeep! So excited for this duet! I have been waiting for a Quinn/Puck duet for, well, about five seasons now! I cannot WAIT!

  • Gary Nelson-Burger

They’ve already said that Sam, Blaine and Artie are moving to NYC, Tina is not. Mercedes, Puck, Quinn and Brit will guest-star randomly, possibly Sue and Shuester — but everybody else is gone. I’ve heard Becca Tobin may randomly pop up still.

  • susanv

I agree. I love Klaine and agree that they are currently the biggest ship on the show. Their relationship has made TV history and has been a huge part of Glee’s popularity. If there isn’t much Klaine in the 100th episodes, then I look forward to some focus on them in the NY episodes.

  • susanv

Huh? I agree he’s talented. Don’t agree about your idea of a break up. He and Blaine are a great together.

  • susanv

So true. I look forward to their happily ever after also – and all that comes along the way. And agree that you must suspend reality in order to enjoy the show. Those who get too hung up on framing it against realistic life are less likely to enjoy the show.

  • susanv

I look forward to I Am Changing – Kurt and Mercedes singing together will be amazing. I also look forward to Loser Like Me. I love that song and I’m curious to see how they will make it a ballad. I want a Klaine duet, but will be patient until a future episode for that.
