Just curious, since I can’t listen to the interviews until I get home from home, what does David say about “the competition with Cook”? Are they referring to the American Idol competition or the competition “fans” are trying to create between them for record/single sales, downloads, etc.???

How sweet of Brooke to open her home to David & Jeff…I wondered if they were just living in hotels or renting a house out in LA.

Davidx2, the latter. The question was about their albums coming out within a week of each other and whether that would create a new competition between them. Archie said he had talked to Cook about it some and that both of them were just wanting to put out the best music possible and weren’t really worried about sales so much.

Yeah, I don’t even think David Cook believes yet that he won American Idol, so I doubt him (or Archie) are worried about sales, LOL. Leave that to us..

It seems Jive starts radio promo?? David is always trying to nice to answer all the questions and jokes. He’s so adorable person. I’m also glad David and Jeff are able to stay with Brook. Brook is sooooooooo nice.

Looks like we will be hearing two David interviews tomorrow! In addition to the Orlando interview, David will be making a radio appearance on WNCI97.9 in Columbus, Ohio. There has been no time confirmation, but it is speculated that the interview will air during their morning show!

David Archuleta is set to make his acting debut in an episode of Nickelodeon’s iCarly.

The American Idol Season 7 runner-up will play himself when the cameras roll on Thursday, Nickelodeon confirms. iCarly centers around a high school student, played by Miranda Cosgrove, who runs a video blog with her friends.

In the episode titled “iRocked the Vote,” Archuleta, 16, plays a contestant on an Idol-style show called America Sings. He gets a huge spike in votes after winning support in an iCarly webcast.

Archuleta recently released his first music video for the song “Crush,” which will appear on his self-titled debut album, due Nov. 11 on Jive Records.

His episode of iCarly will air next spring.

Is this for real?! Oh, but it won’t air until next year in the spring. Bummer!

What, I leave for he afternoom and come back to David making his debut in iCarly, well at least its not Hanna Montana…

iCarly is enormously popular, and in a recent episode The Plain White Tà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s appeared as themselves (and sang a song). I thought it was pretty dang cool! There is an argument to be made that exposure is key right now.

Thanks for that link, Froggie. David sounded very relaxed in that interview. He really seems okay and at peace with being runner up. I would be too if I were in his place. That’s a huge accomplishment in and of itself. For someone to be bitter for coming in second instead of first place out of 103,000 would be greedy, which is what he himself had said in another interview a while back. I was so proud of him for saying that. He sees the big picture. He definitely is a glass-half-full kind of guy. Gotta love him!

iCarly is better than Hannah Montana. lol. It’s cheesy (but all kids shows seem cheesy to adults), but it’s far less so than Disney shows.

Actually, Archie being on iCarly should raise his coolness factor in the eyes of my kid, who currently thinks he’s the biggest dork who ever goshed. Even my husband will watch iCarly – it’s a funny show.

iCarly? I’ve never watched that show…but its so cool! I can see him on TV. Yay!!

Cheese… my husband watches iCarly too! hahaha He got me into it. LOL

I finally got the time to catch up with DA related stuff on youtube. That Spanish cover of Crush, excelente! I hope DA really put out the Spanish version. Hopefully his first album sells a lot so he can make a Spanish album. He’s so marketable. Actually I’m having a good time watching all the different covers of Crush, and I noticed quite a number of them are by guys :)

To me what it’s saying is that this guy Wade King, one of the contestants, is interviewed on iCarly, whereupon Carly discovers what a jerk he really is, and so this compels her to encourage the iCarly viewers to vote for Archie instead, which helps him win the title.

Thanks for the Youtube link, cruzceleste. I’ve never seen the show. But to be quite honest, I didn’t like the looks of it from that clip. However, I’m not too worried about it since it doesnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t air until next spring, long after David’s album has dropped and 100s of thousands of copies have already been gobbled up. I think ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s main purpose is to generate a good buzz for his upcoming album release this November. Hopefully we’ll get to see some production footage from the taping of the show sometime soon, for promotional purposes.

Sorry, cruzceleste, I didn’t catch what you had said the first time around. It would make much more sense for them to air the episode close to the time of the album release date rather than waiting until spring. It may just be all wishful thinking though, but I hope not.
